With two big celebrations of UK creativity happening right now - London Design Festival and London Fashion Week - it seems like a great time to celebrate some of the fabulous British design we source and sell on our site. On the 29th September we will be holding our first ever event in Nottingham - a modern flea market! There will be over 20 different stalls selling a mixture of vintage curios, handmade homewares, artists prints, upcycled gifts and more. We are bringing together a range of designers, makers, collectors, traders, hoarders and artists to create a vibrant, exciting event in the heart of the city. It seems like a long time ago now since I first turned to my husband and - inspired by the magnificent Brooklyn Flea in NYC - said "I think I'd like to organise a flea market"....

I was delighted to receive an email from a happy customer today to let me know that he had spotted the birdbox he gave to his parents at Christmas up in their garden, making the trees pretty and attracting little songbirds to nest! Hello, This is a slightly more personal post than usual, so I hope you don't mind me sharing. Today is my wedding anniversary. Four years ago today I married a man I still think is pretty much the best human I know.
