Nottingham to Barcelona to Bristol As our followers on twitter may have noticed we have very recently relocated to Bristol. We originally began Pretty Dandy in Nottingham, inspired by the creativity of the huge numbers of artists in the city and our friends around us. It is a very welcoming city, which we loved being a part of, and we got great support for our Pretty Dandy Flea events there. After that we moved to another wonderfully creative city - Barcelona. I am kicking off the first of our London Design Festival blog posts with a personal favourite. I am already looking forward to this year's London Design Festival. It is always a fantastic mix of up-and-coming designers, established names, interesting talks and engaging trade shows. This year I'm sure it won't be any different and I'm busy getting all my passes and planning my days. While doing that I had an exciting idea, which I hope you will be able to be a part of. If you live in (or near) Nottingham and haven't yet seen or visited the CQ Pop Up then I heartily recommend a trip. Located in the building which formerly housed Dwell interiors store, it is a giant pop-up shop packed full of wonderful local designers, makers, artists, photographers, bakers, upcyclers and more. It's a real treasure trove and is only there for a limited time, so don't miss out! I've been a busy bee planning and organising the next Pretty Dandy Flea... our first ever two day event! It's taking place on the 30th Nov & the 1st Dec at the Vintage Warehouse in Hockley and I think it's perfectly timed to kick Christmas off in style. We'll be keeping it strictly non-festive on Saturday, so that anyone who hates Christmas beginning earlier and earlier each year can shop and enjoy themselves in a carol-free zone.
