A little while ago I came across a site called Ask Her Friends which does a clever thing. It provides really good gift suggestions for the difficult-to-buy-for ladies in your life, then lets you send the suggestions to their friends for feedback. I think it is largely aimed at helping less able male shoppers to get the gift right at Christmas and birthdays, but it's generally just a good idea for anyone who has a tricky relative/ friend/ colleague to buy for. All day on Monday 26th November our customers can have their orders delivered free of charge! There's no code to use, just add your choices to the basket and checkout as normal. When we heard that the 26th was known as Cyber Monday because it is the busiest online shopping day of the year, well we thought it would be nice to give our customers a little something back to say thank you for supporting us! 20 Crafty Makes is a brand new project book created by artists and crafters in Nottingham, with contributions from all around the UK. It's a wonderful book brimming with fun, crafty ideas and tutorials and that's not even the best part! The best bit is that it is being sold in aid of The Stroke Association. Oh my lord, where has the time gone? It doesn't seem two minutes since I decided we should do another Pretty Dandy Flea, and now it's almost upon us! I'm very excited for the next Flea (24th November!), not only have we got some of our wonderful stallholders from the first event coming back, but we've got more stalls and lots of new traders too! There is a fantastic range of different items being brought to our beautiful venue - everything from 1930's vintage to illustration and hand printed artworks to vintage clocks salvaged from boats! Kitchen style has changed immensely over the years. If I think about the kitchens I’ve lived with it’s traded up from a crazy green 70’s number in my parent’s house as a child... Similar to this, but a little less outlandish! Through a standard white number, a pine country kitchen look, an unusual lilac/grey one, cheap fitted kitchens in student houses right through to a gloss white and warm wood look in my house now.   One thing I've noticed over that time is the push towards a predominant style of "brighter, lighter, cleaner and whiter".
