Vintage Coffee set - Bengal Midwinter pattern

Designed in the 60s this coffee set has a classic vintage feel. Created by designer Joti Bhowmik, the Bengal print takes influence from late sixties fashion where Indian prints, batik and paisley were preferred fabrics. The time of Woodstock, psychedelia and the Beatles trip to India is clearly visible in this stylish retro tea/coffee set. This pattern is one of the rarer Midwinter designs and doesn't often come up in a full set like this.

The set consists of; a tea/coffee pot (around 20cms high), milk jug, sugar bowl and five small coffee cups and saucers. It is the Midwinter "Fine" shape created by the Marquis of Queensberry and is in good vintage condition.
